771 27th Street

Like many traditional working class San Francisco neighborhoods, 27th Street in upper Noe Valley/Diamond Heights was filled with late-1940’s “full-five” row houses - two-story homes that had identical layouts – an upper level consisting of living room, dining room, and kitchen in front, 2 bedrooms in the rear, and in the middle, one full-bath next to stairs leading down to an unfinished garage. These classic 1000 square-foot homes were the “bread-and-butter” of middle-class San Francisco, affordable and functional; families small and large were raised within their walls. They represent a time past, and as such, their functionality no longer suits modern sensibilities and desires. The neighborhood has easy access south to Silicon Valley, and is close to mass transit and the services of Noe Valley 24th St village. As such, it has evolved into a favorite of the newly-minted tech wealthy.
